Welcome to the Hamilton-Halton twig of Editors Canada!

We gladly invite fellow editors and editing students from Hamilton, St. Catharines, Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and surrounding communities to join us!

If you’re looking for a friendly and supportive group of professional peers, this is the group for you. As a chapter of Editors Canada, Editors Hamilton-Halton offers local members opportunities for professional development, networking, and socializing. Upcoming Events and Activities

In an effort to accommodate a variety of schedules and geographic locations, we try to plan a hybrid delivery of events. Meetups generally alternate between in-person and virtual delivery. Here’s what’s coming up:

May 2025 in-person meetup — PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE AND TIME: 11:00am, Sunday May 25. Williams Fresh Cafe, 1250 Brant Street.

2025 Annual General Meeting — Tuesday, June 10, 7:00pm. The AGM will be held virtually and we encourage all members to attend! We’ll discuss the twig’s activities of the past year, our direction for next year, and hear from members about what kinds of events and programs they’d like to see.

The AGM will also feature nominations and voting for the 2025/26 twig executive. There are several executive positions available. If you’re interested, please get in touch with Jenny or Jen for more information at hamilton-halton@editors.ca.
